Burnout, chronic fatigue and chronic stress
I know intimately what it feels like to be burnt out, chronically fatigued, overwhelmed and stressed, as I experienced chronic health problems myself for a number of years.
Recovery is possible!
You can get better from chronic stress, burnout, ME/CFS, chronic fatigue, Long Covid and other chronic, medically unexplained health symptoms.
Together we approach your experience with gentleness and curiosity. You absolutely can find your way out of these incredibly painful (and often misunderstood) conditions. I have been there! There is also a lot of unhelpful advice out there and one size does not fit all.
Our work together is tailored to you and what works for you. I have a large range of tools, suggestions and techniques to support you in your recovery, based on my own experience and further training. I am also able to support you alongside any recovery programme or healing modalities you are doing.
Aspects we might look at include:
- psychoeducation and how symptoms and conditions, like fatigue, high stress and burnout develop and become chronic
- addressing coping mechanisms and personality patterns that developed during our childhood or in response to trauma and attachment wounding
- how you deal with and manage when chronic symptoms or stress are present
- allowing more of your emotional experience
- supporting your nervous system to find more resilience again moving through states rather than getting stuck
- exploring physical sensations and what they can tell us
- working through limiting beliefs
- nurturing your self-connection and intuition
- addressing anxiety and fear
How healing happens
I am well versed in the differences and similarities between different states and conditions like chronic stress, burnout, Long Covid, chronic fatigue, ME/CFS, so you are welcome whatever your diagnosis (or lack thereof!).
Healing needs to happen on two levels, as well as addressing your physical health, of course. Recovery includes concrete techniques and tools and deep psychological work to help you understand yourself and your patterns better. We look at the why and the contributing factors, including trauma, behaviours, thoughts and personality patterns. It is also about working more concretely, with techniques and tools, on how to recover, reteach and repattern your brain to no longer use sensations of fatigue or pain, for instance, to get your attention. While recovery can take time, it is absolutely possible, with the right approach and support!
